Teenagers...

LDS youth really amaze me. With the recent passing of President Hinckley there was a story about teenagers all over dressing up for school on Monday in their Sunday best. Watch the video here:

Just very impressed. My feelings on President Hinckley's death? I am so grateful to have a prophet on the Earth today, and I know those keys are passed down to the next prophet, and that there is no question this all taken care of by our Heavenly Father. I will certainly miss President Hinckley, and his personality, and cuteness, but I know we will recieve the same divine council from the new prophet. I am also happy to know that Pres. Hinckley is with his sweetheart now, and I'm sure he's much happier than he was here. I remember the first time I ever went to General Conference and I heard President Hinckley speak for the first time. I literally heard the spirit whisper to me that this was a prophet of God, and I was literally hearing a spokesperson for my Heavenly Father. It was a really neat experience, one I'll never forget. I look forward to hearing President Monson speak and have that same assurance and knowledge that he is a true prophet of God.

Nine Months is a LONG time....

So time has been flying... sort of. But here I am 35 weeks pregnant.. or is it 36? I am always looking ahead so when I'm 34 weeks I'm thinking, "wow I'm almost 35 weeks!" and then I get all confused and loose count. But I'm pretty sure I'm in my 35th week right now. And as fast as things have gone... and I'm sure they're going to go... today I just feel like this pregnancy will never end. Looking back on everything that's happened since we found out we were preggers...

4th Of July!!
Aimee's baby was born
Trip to NJ
Aaron' Birthday
Trip to St. Louis/Nauvoo
Started student teaching
Aimee moved :(
Placed 5th in the nation with reliv, earned a trip + $3,000
Bought a Wii
Trip to Sedona
MY birthday
Thanksgiving trip to NJ
Douger and Allison's babies born
My parents come to AZ
Put in wood floors
GRADUATION!!
Christmas/Disney Trip

.........

And here we are. Wow so much has happened, which kind of makes it seem like it's gone by so fast, and at the same time when wasn't I pregnant?? Anyway today I've been kind of loafing about and I need to get busy. I have to drop Teen Elect invites to my adorable little Beehives, go to piano lessons, drop off some more stuff to random people... and of course keep working on that nursery that seems like it will never be ready. Ahhh

Sunday Night

So just a generic update for anyone who cares and for my future self to look back on...

35 weeks pregnant tomorrow. That is just utterly insane if you ask me. Time is certainly flying, while at the same time I feel like I've always been pregnant and will always be pregnant. Those days of thinking I'd never be pregnant seem so so far away, thank goodness!

I absolutely love being pregnant, and I love my gigantic belly... but I have to admit it's certainly not the most comfortable I've ever been. Back aches, moments of breathlessness, and NEVER sleeping through the night are my cheif complaints. But how lucky am I to only have that going on? Lots of women are so miserable, and I'm def not miserable, or even really ready for this baby to come out yet. In fact just last night I had a funny dream where I was at the doctor for a check up to see if I dialated and the baby just came out! Like it literally just fell out completely effortlessly. And I was begging the doctor to put him back in because I wasn't ready, and I really wanted to experience labor. Hahaha def. a dream.

Oh about this week I also began (continued?) subbing. I love it. Well so far. Tomorrow I'll be at Franklin subbing for... a PE teacher! Ha it will def be interesting.

Yeah I know it's been a while

Okay so much for updating every week of my pregnancy... even every month. But supposedly Aaron and I will be getting the internet at home soon (hopefully this week) and I'll be able to keep better track of the rest of my pregnancy.

So I'm 32 weeks now. How crazy is that? Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years has all come and go with much excitement. We traveled to NJ for Thanksgiving which was nice. I honestly can barely remember any details of the trip except getting to spend time with my sister and eating way too much food. Then a couple weeks later was the adventure of putting in wood floors in our condo. My dad flew out to help, and my mom and sister came out... oh yeah because I also GRADUATED! Yes, I made it through student teaching while pregnant. Quite the heroic accomplishment if you ask me.

Christmas we went to Disneyland with the Opie's. It was wonderful. We had a great time, and I managed to stay out of a wheelchair 99% of the time. It wasn't until one of the final days for a short period of time, I sucked up my pride and gave my feet and back a rest. It was a lot of walking, but really good for me. I have been having some Braxton Hicks Contractions more frequently lately. It's quite an interesting sensation. I'm getting more and more nervous about the upcoming labor and delivery, and the fact that I have absolutely nothing ready in our house for a baby. Still haven't had the baby shower yet either. I guess there is 8 whole weeks left. Plenty of time for all that stuff. But really time is flying by so fast. I still feel so great. I'm having a little trouble sleeping, but my definition of trouble is probably laughable compared to some. I still get at least 8 hours of sleep every night. Just lots of waking up for bathroom breaks, and sometimes the baby's hiccups keep me awake. But I love to just lay there and feel him/her and daydream about what it's going to be like to hold my baby. It's crazy.

So one quick story I want to write down so I don't forget.... so I'm sure sometime in my life my mother taught me you can't put a glass pan in the broiler. However, this slipped my mind as I was making dinner two nights ago. And I took the meat out of the broiler and I looked closely to see if there was enough juice to make a decent gravy and CAPOW!! The entire glass pan exploded into millions of peices and splattered about the kitchen and the meat fell to the ground and I was left standing there surrounded by glass holding what was left of the pan in my oven mit in total shock. I am so lucky no glass got in my eyes or anything like that. Not even a burn from the juice. Aaron's the best, because he wasn't even mad that the meat was ruined, and he cleaned most of it up for me. We just had a good laugh about it and enjoyed the mashed potatoes and string beans. Oh good times.
