Ultrasound
Okay so I'm 20 weeks now. We had our ultrasound on my birthday! It was so wonderfully amazing to see that little thing inside me. We decided not to find out the baby's sex. I want to be surprised. I just have this mental picture of finding out after all that hard work of pushing that baby out, and just not being able to wait to hear, "IT'S A.... " whatever it is. We also took a tour of the hosptial. I am so excited to be at the new hospital. It's so beautiful and nice looking. I'm glad for that. It was a wonderful birthday. I've put the pictures and a video on myspace. It's so crazy. Technology is amazing.

Pretty Uneventful...
Aaron and I just got back from a Reliv Conference in St. Louis. The conference was great. We learned a lot, and got more passionate about this amazing company, and feel all the more blessed to be involved. We also spent some time in Nauvoo, which was awesome as always. It is such a beautiful place, and I just loved every second of it.
So far pregnancy has been pretty uneventful. I'm tired. That's about it. I can't wait to feel my baby moving... that will be an amazing day. We have a doctors appointment on the 22nd. I can't wait. I hope they let us hear the heart beat again.
Student teaching starts Monday. I'm at school for a mandatory meeting. Blah. I just want sleep. Oh by the way I passed my AEPA, go me.
Time for meeting. Then maybe I can sqeeze in a nap today?? That'd be nice.

First real ultrasound
So yesterday was our first real ultrasound. We went to the doctor's at 2:00, and I was so nervous we wouldn't be able to see anything, or find out bad news, or whatever other crazy things first moms worry about. But it was perfect. We saw our little peanut, and heard its heart beat. It was seriously the most incredible thing I have ever experienced. It's so amazing. I absolutely love being pregnant. I am going to try to savor every moment... although it's hard not to wish for time to pass more quickly. I want a belly! And I want to feel it move... and I want it to be here, lol. But for now I'll enjoy knowing that it's healthy and growing, and I feel great.

Getting ready to go home...
So our trip to NJ was wonderful, but I've realized something. New Jersey is quite possibly the best place to visit, but in all honesty, as hard as it is to admit, I'm glad I no longer live here. I am itching to get back to Arizona, even when that means 100+ degree weather, and our 800 square foot condo in our lovely little part of downtown Mexico... I mean Mesa... :) But really... Arizona is home now. And that's kind of weird for me. I came out here on this trip convinced I would convince Aaron that moving to New Jersey would be practical, and wonderful, and we would both be happy... and in fact the exact opposite has happened. So now there are dreams of owning a condo here in NJ just for the summers. And we can live here from Memorial Day to Labor Day. And spend every moment at the beach, and see my family when we want to. But that's a while off for now. And I'm okay (even slightly happy) with that.
As far as the pregnancy goes... I've never felt better. Although I've been eating really healthy (even on vacation!)... until yesterday. I figured one last day of vacation, it's time to indulge. BAD IDEA. I had the worst pains in my stomach all night. I had a buffalo burger and, yes, I ate the bun, AND the french fries! Plus a waffle with butter and syrup. Then pizza. Then spinach and artichoke dip... oh and I forgot to mention my tiny portion of Gooey Butter Cake. Yeah. So now I'm ready to go back to fruits, veggies, and whole grains, and lean meats for the next nine months... and probably the rest of my life.
Alright well Aaron is packing away, probably getting irritated as he hears me typing away, not helping him at all. So I better go see what I can do.

Decided it's time to start one of these
So... I haven't had a blog in many years. But decided this could be a fun way of keeping track of my pregnancy! That's right... I'm pregnant!
Right now I'm almost 9 weeks. And I haven't been sick at all. Thank goodness for that! My only symptoms really are just some mild stomach cramping occasionally, and my chest is swollen and sore. Other than that I feel great. Better than ever. I work out religiously. And take the best prenatal vitamins available, so I think that has something to do with it. My goal throughout this pregnancy is to not gain more than the minimum 25 lbs. So far I haven't gained anything so that's good, right? I have no idea, it's all so exciting and scary.
Right now we're in NJ. We told my family the first night we got here. I couldn't wait. I was so nervous and excited. For months I have thought about how I would tell my family when I was finally pregnant... and I never thought I would just blurt it out the way I did. But it was still fun.
We've been having lots of fun here. Shopping. Relaxing. Beach. Fishing. Great food. I love NJ.
...beautiful.
